Burlington Spotlight Canada 150 Mosaic Feature Banner View More

The Canada 150 Mosaic mural is coming to Canada’s Best Mid-Sized City. All across Canada, beautiful, community created, murals are popping up in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday. And soon, residents of Burlington will have the opportunity to come together to create the pieces of their mural.

The Burlington Mosaic will be made up of 400 tiles, all hand-painted by members of the community. You can visit either of the two upcoming community painting days to participate and paint your tile, becoming part of this very exciting project that Burlington will be proud of for years to come. The organizers are clear that expertise and experience are not a requirement, and that everyone is invited to participate and showcase their pride for their city and country.

Burlington Painting Days and Locations

Date: Sunday, May 21st
Location: Burlington Mall (777 Guelph Line)
Time: 2pm to 6pm

Date: Monday, May 22nd
Location: Art Gallery of Burlington (1333 Lakeshore Rd.)

We are proud to be part of the Burlington Community and very proud that Burlington will be able to count itself as one of the 150 cities that are celebrating Canada’s sesquicentennial with a gorgeous, community created, mural!

As Canadians, this is a special and exciting event. As residents of Burlington, it is extra special.

We hope that you will be painting a tile and becoming part of a showpiece that people will enjoy for years to come. And we hope that you’ll be there on Canada Day for the reveal and celebration!

Cinéstarz (460 Brant St) offers you a chance to enjoy a great movie from a variety of genres and for all ages, without spending as much money as you may be used to at the movies. With general admission tickets costing only $6, and a Tuesday night special price of $4 per ticket, you’ll have money left in your night out budget for soda and popcorn!

And if there’s a 3D movie that you are excited to see, those tickets are exceptionally well-priced as well, adding only $2 to the regular price.

Located a short five minute drive from Paradigm Condos, Cinéstarz is as convenient and local as it is affordable. And whether you choose to see a movie after dinner, or at an afternoon matinee, you won’t be disappointed with your experience.

Great prices and location aside, the reviews for Cinéstarz online add another reason to visit the theatre. On websites including Google, Yelp and TripAdvisor you can see glowing reviews like this…

This theatre is small, but great. The prices can’t be beat, the food is always fresh and tasty, it’s always clean, and we always enjoy the movies. They have multiple little theatre rooms, the seats are comfortable, and the sound is great. We come here lots, and never leave disappointed. – tripadvisor.ca

Nice little theatre, only a few screens that aren’t overly big but still decent size. Seats are still comfy for being a smaller theatre… The price is just right $5 for a matinee I believe we payed, and $14 for 2 med popcorn that was incredibly fresh and 2 med drinks. So overall a great place to go for a movie especially if you want to save a little seeing as I spend so much at the bigger name theatre’s. – yelp.ca

So, start planning your next movie date night, visit the Cinéstarz Burlington website (Click Here) to find a movie that you’re looking forward to seeing, pick a day, and be ready for a movie date that you can be sure to enjoy!
