Summer in Burlington is packed with activities, festivals, and special event opportunities for the young and old. In August, two of those opportunities will be front and centre in Canada’s Best Mid-Sized City as Joseph Brant Day (August 7, 2017) and the Burlington Children’s Festival (August 20, 2017), each return for another year of fun and excitement.

Joseph Brant Day 2017 will have an extra special twist to it, as Burlington continues to celebrate the 150th birthdays of Canada and Ontario!
All day, attendees will find a variety of entertainment and activities available, with local talent on the main entertainment stage, games and activities hosted by local organizations, and more.
For the hungry folks in attendance, the Food Truck Rally is sure to be a hit. Each food truck at Joseph Brant Day will offer a variety of food options, including a special Canada 150 menu item that each food truck will create and offer.
There will also be a Made In Canada vendors market on site, showcasing the work of local artisans and businesses, offering the residents of Burlington the opportunity to support their community.

The Burlington Children’s Festival is celebrating its 26th year in 2017, and they would love to celebrate with as many girls and boys as possible at Spencer Smith Park.
With interactive games, inflatable bouncers, and a host of other awesome activities, no child will leave unsatisfied at the end of the day.
Those other awesome children’s activities include; face painting with Beebop the Clown and Balloon animals with MD Children’s Entertainment. Add in the crafts and kids’ marketplace, and Spencer Smith Park is sure to be a hub of excitement on Sunday, August 20th.
